DC Direct Signs James Shoop To 2-Year Exclusive Contract

James Shoop, sculptor of DC Direct items including the popular JLA ACTION FIGURES and the upcoming GREEN LANTERN ACTION FIGURES, has signed a 2-year exclusive contract with DC Comics.

“I’ve been working for DC on and off for about 11 years, and it’s always been a fantastic relationship,” says Shoop. “They’ve been keeping me consistently busy, which is the goal. It’s a dream job!”

"DC Direct is very fortunate to have James join our pool of exclusive sculptors,” says Georg Brewer, DC’s VP — Design & Retail Product Development. “His long history of exemplary work with DC Direct and the Warner Bros. Studio Stores shows his diversity as an artistic talent. I look forward to seeing what else he can accomplish with Senior Art Director Jim Fletcher, who I am sure will keep his sculpting tools busy."

GREEN LANTERN SERIES 1: HAL JORDAN (SEP040409), BLACK HAND (SEP040410), KILOWOG (SEP040412), and PARALLAX (SEP040413) ACTION FIGURES are available for advance reorder and are scheduled to arrive in stores on March 16.

JUSTICE LEAGUE SERIES 2: ADAM STRANGE (MAY040400), THE ATOM (MAY040402), ELONGATED MAN (MAY040401) and FIRESTORM (MAY040403) ACTION FIGURES are available for advance reorder and are scheduled to arrive in stores on December 8.
