12 May 2004 - Los Angeles, California – Gameware today announced their current lineup of new gaming and entertainment titles being presented at the UK’s State of Play Pavilion at this year’s E3 Expo in Los Angeles. From mobile phones to convergent media, these new titles will span the most exciting new platforms for gaming and entertainment.

"We are very excited about our product offerings this year and are looking forward to presenting them to publishers and distributors for world-wide release," said Gameware CEO Jeremy Cooke. "As gaming platforms cross the boundaries from PC and console to mobile and television, we are looking forward to being at the forefront with new brands, new partners and some really incredible technologies that will bring new meaning to the term Artificial Life."

Gameware's new product lineup includes:

BAMZOOKi – After an enormously successful first series of this exciting TV gameshow for the BBC which featured computer-generated creatures moving and behaving autonomously and competing in challenges against other ZOOKs, Gameware will now be bringing the concept to computer screens around the world. The ZOOK toolkit produced for the BBC featured cutting edge computer simulations that formed the core of this unique television game show experience broadcast on CBBC in March 2004. Gameware is now working on the second series of this hugely popular series and additional development and upgrades are currently in the works.

LivingPictures – LivingPictures for mobile phones is an exciting messaging and entertainment product running on Symbian, Series 60 and MS Smartphone devices. Quick and and easy to use, LivingPictures automatically transforms any 2D digital photograph from your inbuilt camera into a 3D talking character. Use the inbuilt recording facility to record your message, and you’ve created your own 3D talking messenger! The recipient phone does not need a pre-downloaded player – it is sent with the created message . The application is only 200k in size and created files are around 30k (depending on the size of the voice message).

LivingPictures is also available on PC to create fun talking avatars for websites and interactive titles. The PC version of LivingPictures is currently entering its first Public Beta and a trial version of the software can be downloaded for free at the LivingPictures website:

Creatures Mobile – The multi-million selling Creatures phenomenon is set to go mobile and 3D with this great new title. Using Gameware’s InfiniteScene Mobile 3D SDK from their SceneMachines' division, Gameware will be presenting the Creatures Mobile concept for high-end mobile devices. The world-renowned Artificial Life creatures will live, learn and behave just like real animals on your mobile phone. They can be traded with friends on PC and mobile or even sent on special missions to other phones.

Gameware can be found at this year's E3 Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center, State of Play Pavilion, Booth 2316, West Hall from May the 12th to the 14th.
