Bandai Offers 'Navia Drapt' Demo Kits

July 20, 2004
Bandai America is offering participating retailers a free Navia Drapt (pronounced "Nav-ia drapp") demo kit, which contains two starter sets, a game board, attribute cards and a rule book (over $70 retail). Bandai has provided the demo kits to participating distributors to offer to retailers (while supplies last) as an added bonus for purchasing the game. The game, which is billed as the first anime CMG, is scheduled for a mid-August release, and Bandai has produced over 1,000 Navia Drapt demo kits. Retailers should contact their game distributor for details on how to obtain the demo kits.

The Navia Drapt game combines minor game play elements of chess with magical attributes that offer a multitude of strategic possibilities. Players use a unique flip-dial system to attribute different strength and values to the highly detailed miniature game pieces. The demo kit allows retailers to demo the game and its easy-to-use, but highly sophisticated, game system to customers---and just displaying the incredibly detailed, state-of-the-art miniature pieces is sure to arouse interest among fans who play collectible miniature games.
