NECA TMNT: The Last Ronin Casey Marie with Motorcycle Review and Images

This week, we're having a look at the TMNT: The Last Ronin Casey Marie with Motorcycle set from NECA! Finally, a vehicle for the Last Ronin line! The motorcycle can be used with the Last Ronin himself, or the figure that comes with it, Casey Marie, who is none other than the daughter of April O'Neil and Casey Jones!

Light spoilers on the Last Ronin comic book: Casey Marie Jones is a character from the TMNT: The Last Ronin comic book, she first appears when the Last Ronin steals and destroys her bike while escaping a battle in the first issue. She follows him to the sewer, where she catches him about to commit seppuku and prevents it. She then brings him to her lair, where it is revealed that she is the daughter of April O'Neil and Casey Jones. We find out later that she also has some sort of enhanced abitilites due to her parents hanging out with mutant turtles and getting low-level radiation over the years, which gave her some sort of mutation too... Fun! She also appears in the 'Lost Years' and 'Last Ronin II: Re-evolution' books, but this figure represents her look in the first book.

The packaging does not have a window, which is not something that happens often with NECA (I can only think of some Accessory Packs that didn't have a window). I'm sure the crowd that was vehemently against Hasbro using windowless packaging will get anxious when seeing this! It has beautiful art by Ben Bishop on the front, and pictures of the figure on the back.





The Casey Marie with Motorcycle set comes with, well, a motorcycle, but also 3 head sculpts, 4 pairs of hands, 2 batons, a blade, a smoke grenade, a faux leather jacket and a stand for the motorcycle. The motorcycle is pretty standard, with some nice paint making it look like it was taken out of the comic book. It doesn't do much though, with only the front 'fork' that can move. The Casey Marie figure looks great, and the 3 heads from different parts of the comic book are a nice bonus (rather than having the same head in various expressions). The faux leather jacket is not great, though, it looks like a gigantic vinyl bath robe and looks odd on the figure. Adding a wire in it might help, but I don't think I'll keep it on the figure in my display.













NECA just announced the 4 turtles from the Last Ronin II: Re-Evolution, which Casey Marie trained in the comic. I think there's only a few characters left from the comic book after that. NECA went deep into that comic book line, which is pretty great.
