The University of Maryland today dedicated a new Jay Hall Carpenter Statue in honor of alumnus Jim Henson and his wonderfull Muppets. The statue and garden are a gift from the classes of 1994, 1998 and 1999. Wilard Scott was the Masters of Ceremonies. Jane Henson, members of the Henson family and sculptor Jay Hall Carpenter were all on hand for the unveiling.
