With "Black Friday" coming up this week its time once again for the ADC Annual "Toys For Tots" (TFT) challenge. "Black Friday" is a term used in retail to describe the day after Thanksgiving were most retailers run huge sales to kick-off Holiday shopping. Many stores open as early as 5:00 a.m in the morning with early bird specials. Its a great time to pick up lots of toys at low low prices. Every year at this time we at ADC pledge to spend $100 on toys that we then donate to "Toys For Tots", which is a program run by the United States Marine Corp that collects unopened toys to donate to those that normally can not afford to spend money on the holidays.

Now the challenge part comes in where we ask that each of our readers try to do what they can to match as much as possible if not more of our $100 donation worth of toys and drop them off at their local TFT Drop Off point. Even if all you can do is donate one un-opened toy that is one more toy that can go to a child who can experince the thrill of opening a new toy during the Holidays. We mentioned "Black Friday" above to point out this is good day to go out and get more toys for your buck but really you can donate toys any time during the Holidays. TFT's also except monetary donations.
To find out where your local TFT Drop Off point is
CLICK HERE and scroll down to the bottom of the page to where it says "Toy Drive in Your Community" and select the state you live in.
It is our feeling that there is no greater gift to get for the Holidays than knowing you have helped put a smile on the face of some young child that would not normally be able to experince the fun of opening a new toy during this time.
