Marvel Select Style Star Trek Figures In The Works?!?

In their latest Q&A session, the folks at Art Asylum mentioned how they had shown off some Marvel Select style Star Trek figures at this years New York Toy Fair to prospective retailers.

Have you ever considered a Star Trek Select series of figures which would enable you to release your well sculpted Trek characters with more deluxe extra’s, such as bridge pieces or some form of collect and connect character? Could you PLEASE at least get us a decent Chris Pine Kirk? (boo Playmates …)

DSTCHUCK: We showed some designs to buyers at Toy Fair of just that Select styled Trek figures – so there is hope!

They also mention in the Q&A that the recent news of Hasbro getting the Star Trek license would have no barring on their license with CBS.

Well, I just recently discovered that Hasbro got a license for the entire franchise of Star Trek. How will this effect DST/AA’s Star Trek line?

DSTCHUCK: There has been no change in the license we hold with CBS so the only change could be more exposure and advertising for the Trek universe.
