Masters Of The Universe - Columbia Pictures Hires Screenwriters

by Outsiders
April 12, 2010
Writers Mike Finch and Alex Litvak have been hired by Columbia Pictures to pen "Masters of the Universe." Both writers currently completed the script for the "Predators" reboot movie.

The studio picked up movie rights, when Mattel and Warner Bros parted ways after the sides couldn't agree on a creative vision. There is no guarantee that the film will be made, since Mattel has story approval and may reject Columbia's vision the same way it did with Warners.

With the movie rights belonging to Columbia Pictures, all other scripts that Warner Bros has been working on will be junked and the previously announced director, John Stevenson, will likely be replaced.
