I think you will be pleasantly surprised to find the head does in fact rise above the mask.
I REAAALLLY wish his head poked up above the mask. That was always something that bothered me about the original. I guess you can only get so much Extendar-ing when you have to fit both the neck and waist extensions in the torso, but that seems like a problem that could have been fixed with an extra extension piece like they did with the legs. I wonder if those would work for the neck? I haven't popped mine open to mess with it yet. Not sad about all the added articulation, though.
