2019 SDCC Exclusive NECA 7" IT Pennywise Figure Based On Derry Charter Engraving

by Jay Cochran
May 25, 2019
From the acclaimed 2017 IT Movie, drawn from the pages of Stephen King’s original novel, NECA presents a very special edition of Pennywise based on the Derry Charter engraving.

The terrifying clown has been around for centuries, as evidenced by his appearance in an engraving of the Derry town charter, and this 7” scale figure has been detailed in an “engraved” style to match. Comes with 2 head sculpts and two balloons.

Display friendly window box packaging with opening flap features debossed printing and foil accents.

Retail: $30

Be on the lookout for NECA's next SDCC reveal coming on Tueday, May 28th.

This will be made available in limited numbers to those not attending SDCC on the NECA store. See more details on how to obtain the set if not attending the convention here.

I think this makes for a nice exclusive. Nothing too crazy that a majority of fans would need to get, but it's cool in its own right. Every SDCC exclusive that gets announced makes me nervous because there's always one, at least, that I feel a strong desire to own and end up shelling out a large sum for on the secondary market, but so far so good this year. I haven't seen anything I really need yet.

Im really looking forward to the next 4 SDCC reveals though. Neca has pretty much always delivered at the show but I feel like the past couple of years theyve stollen the show with the number one exclusive that year.

Thus far the tally with NECA at SDCC is:

1 must buy (turtles set - might get 2 to have an opener)

and 1 maybe (with this figure).

So lets see how the next 4 go.

I enjoyed the movie but didnt love it so I wasnt planning on buying any merch from it but I might get this. If it was at retail it would be a skip but since I go to SDCC every year I tend to splurge a lot on the exclusives. SoIll probably take a look at it in the case at the Con before I decide.

i really like the greyscale on this figure. i'm not a daily neca collector but i would pick this up just because it's really unique and would look great on a shelf, hell! i might mount one to the top of the fantasy football trophy!
