Aliens Kenner Inspired Space Marine Drake Figure From NECA

by Jay Cochran
October 17, 2019
Inspired by the classic Kenner Expanded Universe of the early 1990s, Drake is back and ready to hunt some Aliens.

The figure is highly posable, with nearly 30 points of articulation. It also comes with a special blade attachment that connects to the barrel of the Smart Gun barrel or the figure's back. The packaging is an homage to the classic Kenner art, featuring custom illustrations and a color palette reminiscent of the toy shelves of the early '90s. You can pre-order this figure at

I found the video game two pack at GameStop the other day, glad I didn't preorder those online before seeing them in person. The figures I saw looked awful. Some of Neca's stuff just looks really cheap and fragile to me. Like knockoff toys.

$23.99 is not too bad, considering most figures are running at the price. But, it's not something I desire, at least at that price. If I were to buy this figure, it would just an army building type of addition to my collection. A random soldier to add in my toy photography.

Too bad it is not Drake from the movie.

Seems like people dig the Keener repo stuff more than the stuff from the movies, I guess because of nostalgia
