NECA TMNT Metalhead BTS Image And More Rocksteady And Bebop Figures On The Way

NECA today released a new behind-the-scenes images for their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Metalhead figure showing off the tooling for it. This figure will be released as a single Deluxe figure as opposed to a 2-pack like we've seen with most of their Turtle figures.

Speaking of TMNT 2-Packs, NECA has said more Target exclusive wave 2 figures are on the way to stores and should be there by this Thursday. This wave includes the very hard to find Rocksteady and Bebop 2-pack.

So the one Target Ive seen stocked with these has had about 5 sets each of both the Turtle packs and the foot clan pack for about 3 days now but zero Bebop and Rocksteadys. I feel like this is going to be a problem. With wave 1 the problem was that all the waves would show up and be gone instantly. For me personally that didnt matter as I had the SDCC set but for people wanting those wave 1 figures that really sucked. The problem with wave 2 is now you have a bunch of people (including myself) who only want the Bebop and Rocksteady pack but not only are those going to onlylast minutes on the shelf but the other 3 packs in the wave are going to be far less wanted meaning they are going to peg warm and thus prevent Bebop and Rocksteady from getting a restock at those stores.

This is not going to be fun or easy.

Hit up my two local Target stores today and this is what the shelves looked like which is how they look every time I go into these stores. One basically never carries any NECA stuff and the other has very little. There was a Target employee standing right by the area at the one that has very little NECA stuff and I asked him about Turtles and his response literately was to say what's NECA? Suffice to say neither store had any TMNT stuff.

No the in store function is meaningless for NECA products and the email notification is pretty wonky. The problem I see happening now is because the other 3 2-packs in wave 2 are essentially reissues stores and online are gonna start seeing those pile up as they start stocking them in any significant numbers and will be resistant to ordering more of the wave in order to get more Rocksteady and Bebop.

I was amazed to see last year's wave on that Target yesterday since last year they were no were to be found at all the Targets I visited...

I noticed the Target app is not working properly... I went to a Target that is supposed to do not carry the turtles and I found there plenty of them... Also it the app doesn't alert me when the figures are in stock....

You know they aren't going to make enough BandR to satisfy fans. They look pretty good, even though I don't like the way Neca toys feel, they are really tempting. If I can find them at retail I'll pick them up, but I'm sure Super7 will get around to them eventually.

Haven't found anything yet, but I've only really had a chance to check my nearest Target. Now that my Christmas shopping is done. however, I'll be on the hunt again.

The new wave has been seen in the Targets near me as well (Maryland). Like others have posted, Bebop & Rocksteady are the first to go. Happy hunting.
