For decades, Millennials and Gen X collectors have lorded their nostalgia over the toy aisles. We've seen every iteration of He-Man, the endless parade of 80s cartoon toy lines, and yet another wave of Ninja Turtles inspired by the the cartoon that predates most Gen Z collectors, born between the mid-90s and early 2010. But finally, their time has come! ToyFarce investigated...

Super7 just dropped figures based on the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mondo has revealed Masters of the Universe 200x figures coming soon, and NECA is revisiting the 2012 TMNT series. Add in the Hasbro Star Wars: The Vintage Collection HasLab LAAT/I Gunship (straight out of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, which came out in 2002), and Gen Z is finally standing up in the collector community to say: "Hey, this was OUR childhood, now! Not yours anymore!"

After years of watching the 80s/90s kids get everything remade, rebooted, and/or repainted, Gen Z is thrilled to see their Saturday morning heroes immortalized in premium plastic. Sources close to ToyFarce confirm that several Gen Z collectors have even uttered the words: "Wow, this makes me feel old", a phrase once reserved for the previous generations.

"Finally, MY Turtles!" shouted one ecstatic 26-year-old clutching a preorder confirmation.
"Wait… 2012 counts as nostalgia now?!" muttered a Millennial, staring into the void.
"Great, another generation to complain about articulation online..." sighed a Gen X collector while adjusting his mint-in-box Super7 Thundercats display.

Toy companies, smelling fresh waves of nostalgia-fueled spending, are already preparing for this new demographic shift: Expect plenty more 2000s-era toys to be revisited soon, as Gen Z collectors prepare to join the eternal cycle of buying their childhoods back... and then complaining about paint apps online.

More news at 11:00... when Gen Z realizes that "retro" now also means 2003.

The one thing that action figure collectors have never, ever, never-ever, Ever, EEVVEEERRRR (never) agreed on is what is considered "vintage".It could be anything from the 1960's to last week.It makes me roll my eyes.Ow.I have to go see a doctor about that now.....
