I was eight when Tales from the Crypt premiered, and I would watch it with my dad, who somewhat foolishly thought he could provide "parental guidance" and keep me from getting scared. The Crypt Keeper did scare me some in that first season when he was much more serious. By the end of the second season when the character had become zanier, used more puns, and began dressing up, I absolutely loved him.
I like it but I'd prefer a Crypt Keeper.

Guessing this is the Creep from the new series. Which reminds me, if somebody make a Crypt Keeper action figure (not one of those green ones from the cartoon) I'd buy several.
