NECA TMNT Movie Danny Pennington LootCrate Figure In-Hand Look

Shown below is a in-hand look at the new NECA TMNT Movie Danny Pennington LootCrate figure which is the first figure to be released in this years LootCrate TMNT assortment. Honestly this is the only figure from this year I wasn't interested in since I don't collect the movie stuff.

The figure comes with an alternate head with headband on and a walkman with earphones which does fit on the figures head. Initially I thought the headsculpts looked off, but then I started looking at images of the character who was played by actor Michael Turney in the movie and honestly I think they got the likeness pretty close. I do have some paint that has rubbed off the hair on to the left ear on one of the headsculpts. There is a lot of attention to detail on the shirt for this one which seems to be accurate to how it looked in the movie. Maybe they could have added a little more yellow but overall I would say its good.

My biggest fault overall with the figure is a common one with many NECA figures, and that is the fragilness of it. I made the mistake of trying to bend the elbow on the left arm and it snapped right off. The arms are very thin and they use a very brittle plastic which doesn't take much to snap. If your going to try bend the elbows I recommend heating up the plastic quit a bit. I was able to glue mine back on though I won't be trying to bend the arms any more.

If you pre-ordered this one from LootCrate earlier this year then you likely have already gotten your figure as well, but otherwise you will have to go to the secondary market. Last time I checked the figure was selling on eBay for $60-$80, which honestly unless your just that big of a fan of the character I would probably recommend passing on this one or hope NECA re-releases it again at some point down the road.
