McFarlane Toys Rocks Out Guitar Heroes

by Outsiders
June 26, 2008
McFarlane Toys announces a partnership with Activision to produce action figures inspired by the No. 1 hit video game franchise of 2007, Guitar Hero. The first series of figures is expected to hit store shelves in November, in tandem with the new Guitar Hero video game release.

Guitar Hero's most popular characters will be represented in McFarlane's first line of action figures:

JOHNNY NAPALM
LARS ÜMLAUT
AXEL STEEL
GOD OF ROCK

Each figure will have 15-18 moving parts. A unique removable guitar is included with each character, and is interchangeable with the other figures. Each figure also comes with a sculpted Guitar Hero logo base.

Completely disagree, I love the McFarlane detail applied to a cartoony style. Also glad that with Halo and GH McFarlane has finally started introducing articulation. You guys have to realize that McFarlane walks in both worlds, they are a sort of hybrid company mass/specialty. I love Dragons and horror, but I also loved their Shreck and Where the Wild Things Are toys.

I think people forget that McFarlane has been a presence in collector's items and just regular "toys" for a long time. Keep it up McF!

And here I was going to write "they dropped the Lost line for this?"

This is very weak.
