McFarlane Toys Stranger Things 7" Scale Ghostbusters Figure 4-Pack Review & Images

McFarlane Toys continues their line of 7" scale action figures based on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things with this new figure 4-pack featuring Dustin, Mike, Will and Lucas in Ghostbusters costumes as they appeared in the second season of the show.

During one of the episodes the four kids dress as the Ghostbusters for Halloween and overall this set does a good job capturing that look for the characters. The figures come packaged in a long window-box showing off the figures clearly with the Strangers Things logo on the front and the artwork from the series off to the right side. The pack of the package shows off the figures in this set as well as other figures for the Stranger Things line that have been recently released.

The coolest thing for this set is the accessories. Each figure comes with a make-shift proton-pack that is removable. Since these were Halloween costumes, the proton packs where kit-bashed from things like vacuum cleaner parts which is nicely represented here. Besides the proton packs, Dustin comes with a make-shift ghost trap that opens and a miniature Dart. Will features a detailed looking 80's style camcorder which he also used in the episode, and all four figures include the clear plastic figure stands with the Stranger Things logo on them.

Sculpting on all four figures is solid with the face sculpts looking pretty true to the real-life counterparts. Each figure features the Ghostbusters like jumpsuit with the Ghostbusters symbol on the right shoulder and name tags on their front. These are painted on but look good. They all have different tennis shoes on which is a nice detail. The skin tone is a little iffy as it seems like they are wearing a little to much blush on their cheeks.

The biggest downside to these figures is the articulation. Large pegs and crotch lines stand out rather badly on these figures and they still aren't what I would call well articulated. Single hinged elbows and knees and limited mid-section articulation really limits what you can do with these guys.

If you are a big fan of Stranger Things and Ghostbusters, despite the limitations in articulation and a few places where the paint is iffy, I would say you will likely still want to check this set out. This set is being sold currently as a Gamestop exclusive. Check out more images for the figures below in our GALLERY and let us know what you think about them in the COMMENTS SECTION.

Cant wait for Season 3 and happy to see McFarlane is putting good effort into this line. Havent bothered with any of the human figures, but I did pickup the Demogorgon a while back. Im glad I boughtwhen I had the chance in Boston, Inever saw it released in my local stores.
