The Storm Collectibles figures are a bit nicer but also a lot more expensive. For the price these seem to be quit nice figures. I saw Sub-Zero at Gamestop the other day but passed on em. I may pick him up when Scorpion comes out. I have to wonder though how deep McFarlane will go with this line. Was disappointing nothing new was shown at NYCC for these.
Great review! Not a fan of the ankle articulation, and hopefully that doesn't transfer into the DC figures. Design wise I am a huge fan of most of these MK11 figures. The major issue with these figures is the sloppy paint and the cheap plastic looking skin. These will not be replacing my Storm figures, but make nice little extras to add to the shelf.
I do dislike this design, however, detail andpaint wisefigure looks excellent, articulation and accessory selection is also pretty solid. But yeah we all want more classic or classic ish designs.
Great review man.
Really wishthat they get to make the classic games characters looks.
