McFarlane Toys have entered into a global licensing agreement with WBCP to unleash a new line of McFarlane Toys designed statues, busts, and figures based on DC's expansive roster of iconic characters. Fans and collectors can look forward to an array of McFarlane Toys created DC Direct collectibles under legendary artist Todd McFarlane's creative direction coming in 2022.

McFarlane will also manage current DC Direct inventory.
Under McFarlane Toys, DC Direct will continue to produce high-quality collectibles, including fan-favorite lines DC Designer Series, Batman Black & White, and Harley Quinn Red, White & Black.

In 2020, McFarlane Toys launched its successful DC Multiverse line with ultra-posable action figures and vehicles to bring dozens of iconic DC characters based on the comic books, video games, and feature films to life at mass specialty retailers globally. McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse line is one of the top-selling action figure lines in the US.

I'd like to think Todd will hire some of the sculptors from previous DC Direct suppliers. I hope he reinstates the BTAS/TNBA 6"action figure line. So many characters can still be made in the animated-style. Batman Who Laughs, Talon, & Hush were already in the pipeline when DC shut DC Direct down. I know they'd be big sellers on the specialty market & in comic book stores. The could certainly go mass retail too. Batman Animated is popular to this very day.

Agree 100%, I want the Batman Animated relaunched/revamped/ or at least continued. I have/had a few in this line, but a combination of poor quality control in the first waves, ugly joints in the legs and bad articulation, too difficult to find, etc made me miss out even though BTAS is my favorite version of my favorite character. I feel this is an excellent opportunity to redo some of the sculpts and make me buy characters all over again, and expand too. Missed the Batmobile, I want it reissued and and I want the New Batman Adventures Batmobile too.

McFarlane has already done Animated Series versions of Batman, Superman &Green Lantern. If anything, they would continue to make more animated figures in the same style and scale which wouldn't complement the previous DC Direct figures at all. Trust me, I'm with you and would have liked to seen more obscure characters like Clock King but I don't think that will happen at this point.

Now that's actually very interesting and exciting, while I don't think it will be about figures, which we all want to see, likely it's all about old DC statues being rereleased by Todd for smaller collector'smarket.

Hahaha, no watch this line be everything we want in a new Classic DC Line, just they only have 4 POA, and they are bigger then 7 Scale.

but yeah on the optimistic side, maybe just maybe Todd will give in a hook us up with some variety and stick to the Direct style rather then having to add his personal flare.

Lol. 8 inch scale 4 points. Love it. Ha.

I agree. Just not in his makeup it seems. Might see some cool stuff from this still. Hey at least it will be articulated. It will be articulated right Todd? Todd? Where did he go? Ha.

We Can't kid ourselves about Todd, Todd is always going to do Todd, and he cares not what anyone thinks, he's not going to change his consistent sculpting style to present to us some awesome classic silver age figures, he never does what anyone wants him to do, he's like that bratty kid who you say just draw me a snowman, but he has to draw a snowman with laser eyes armor and cyber punk roller blades, just because it's edgy and contrary, so I'd be so shocked if he all of a sudden he gives us good old classic comic style figures, it will more likely be a bunch of Todd arthouse designs that's my feeling, his ego is too supreme.
