I really do love these headsculpts, it's Ed Mcguinness art come to life, but I just can't reward the laziness embodied by that Batzarro chest. It really is astounding. It's like something out of Toyfarce.
Shown below is the new McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Bizarro & Batzarro 2-pack are available for pre-order from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earthwith a suggested retail price of $39.99.
Some nice sculpt work here. Not for me but a nice sculpt is still a nice sculpt.
Wait there was a Batman equivalent of Bizarro? guess so, I never payed attention to that, but makes sense since I'm hardly a DC fan, either way this looks like another Toddfather lame 2 pack, more re-use, little inspiration. At least Bizarro has a new head, and the Batzarro is a new character for the DC multiverse collectors.
?
They look. Great I still have the batzarro form Mattel If I get this set brobaly will sell him
This would be an absolute must-have for me if it weren't for that terrible bat-chest indent. Seriously, WTH kind of "they'll buy anything" lazy-ass approach is that?
I have both of these in the DC Direct McGuinness style. I think this Batzarro is a definite improvement over the old figure. But I actually think the older Bizarro looks much better than this new one. No comparison when it comes to articulation of course.
Also that is some serious amateur level work if they leave the seams from the DKR mold on the final production figure.
It makes a lot of sense to reuse these TDKR bodies for that chunky style of Ed McGuiness but Bat logo outline does look cheap.
I love me some Batzarro! I still have the DC Direct version, which ironically I've always thought was too big and clunky - this one doesn't seem to fix those issues, but will likely be better articulated.
I'm not crazy about that Bizarro and am not sure it's really an upgrade over the one McFarlane already did, but I'll be buying this 2-pack regardless.
They're not my most wanted characters, but they look pretty good and the re use makes sense here.
