You can even notice Deathstroke's staff is warped in that image. Great marketing team.

Wow. I remember the early days of McFarlane with the DC license and all the heaps of praise for how much better they supposedly were than Hasbro, with "all original sculpts" and other things. Well, hello, Deathstroke. Nothing but a repaint. The colors are not as good as the previous version. On top of that, they stand in stark contrast to the artwork, which is FAR darker. The weapons on this are much better than the silly sword with the original, BUT...a knife sheath with no knife. McFarlane is capable of so much good with their products, but it's like they have some unpublished rule that they can never fully deliver on that potential in any individual offering.

Looks like Deathstroke includes a knife sheath but doesn't come with a knife to go in the sheath.

I'm putting the sword in that sheath no matter what

Lots of people like McFarlane's figures (although, I think, maybe a portion of that is people like DC characters and he's the only game in town), but to say that Hasbro is as lazy or weird in its parts reuse as McFarlane is inaccurate. RobertD cited some very bizarre examples of McFarlane's parts reuse (his love of that zip-up Catwoman torso is unbelievable) so I won't belabor the point. I will just say that I think he's right.

Yes, and I'll buy them all. And I'll do the same with Marvel Legends, Star Wars, Transformers and all the rest given they all do it.

And they're still legs. It doesn't matter.

Hey, feel free to be as indiscriminating in your collecting as you like, it's not my job to set your personal standards. But lazy, half-assed efforts are lazy, half-assed efforts, and I am going to point them out whenever I see them. That there's an audience out there that doesn't care and will buy whatever gets dangled in front of them doesn't really change that. Most companies will re-use but it's typically just standard bucks, and sculpts or parts that make sense for the character (or at least come close). I don't see the Marvel Legends team panting over Wolverine hands with a different color paint and calling them Cyclops' gloves. They're hardly flawless mind, (looking at you, Abomination-Ch'od) but most of the time the re-use makes sense. Don't get me started on Transformers though, their re-use is just as bad as McFarlane.

Here's some fun examples though, just because:

I ordered a Robin. I have one for my Bat Family shelf, but I wanted another for the Justice League/ general DC good guy shelf. I already have a similar Deathstroke on my villains shelf.

Do you think this is the only two figures in this Page Punchers wave? Odd to only have two and not be themed from a singular story.

Has that 7 inch Page Puncher Batman pictured with Robin been released already? I dont remember.
