Sadly, I'd be intrigued by what these variants 1960's T.V. Batmobiles would look like if McFarlane did went those routes.

Wow, that's a good price! I bought this for full price when it was first released. This isn't quite low enough where I feel the need to buy a 2nd one, though.

Tha strange part is there was an actual Jokermobile in the Batman 66 show and it was just as you describe it, but maybe Mcfarlane thought " why waste money sculpting a brand new vehicle if I just can repaint the 66 Batmobile just like I do with 50% of my figures"

Or at the very least, done it in Blue and Black to give it a look similar to how it appears at the end of the animated/cartoon/drawing Opening Credits of each episode. Never followed the 1960's T.V. Series Comic book, but neat that they continue to draw from that, and I'm okay with it It can also give Hot Wheels and Jada Toys an excuse to repaint their 1960's T.V. Batmobiles in these colours as well. I can at least see Hot Wheels doing it at least, for both the Basic 1:64 Scale line, and the 1:50 Scale Batman line.
I do think for Joker, to make it more of a "Bang for your buck" and make it more enticing for the set, McFarlane could of also done a Swapping Normal Head, so that you can no only have Joker in I guess a supposely "Super Hero" look, but also, by removing his cape and putting the normal head on, make him look like a normal Joker as well.
With the car being Purple and having Pink-ish Windows, there's a part of me that wouldn't mind customizing it into a Batgirl Batmobile of sorts, as I would just have to replace most of the Green with Yellow and some of it with Silver. As well, remove the Joker Logos and put a Yellow Bat Logo on it.
Still, while the McFarlane 1960's T.V. Batmobile is sculpted very well, it's still very undersize for their 6" figures. Though it should be fine for any 5" figures, including their Super Powers line(Brad: The DC Geek did show this off in his video review when he put the old Kenner Super Powers figures inside the McFarlane 1960's T.V. Batmobile). With the Batcave Playset sort of seeming undersize as well, makes me wonder if originally, this line was suppose to be 5" figures, before a change happened. However, I think McFarlane did stated he wanted to give that "Vintage Mego" homage, in that some vehicles from the 8" Mego figures were slightly undersize.

I feel like a sweeping statement like that is just categorically untrue. Glow in the dark editions? Patina editions? Hey, what's the "legit source material" on Jokerized movie Scarecrow, anyway? Or Frostbite Joker? Blacklight anything? Sorry, but sometimes Mcfarlane does stuff because it looks cool (or at least that's the goal) and that's all there is to it.
