I do like the look of these but I hate these t jointed old school hips, they don't agree with ball jointed arms, I think they really could have done a lot of good if they went with simple ball joints for legs, even if it added just a couple of dollars into the price.

Lantern and Batman sold out on big bad. Amazon still has all four.

These figures are basically repaints of the Batman '66 retro line with modified bodies and new heads. The Batman figure is Batman '66 with a new head. The rest of the line is a basic figure modified per character. Very cost effective action figure line. I expect more characters since they'll be inexpensive to produce.

I do hope we get at least one last Batman '66 retro wave with Mad Hatter & maybe False Face or Shame or Siren. We need a Bruce Wayne & Dick Grayson in street clothes for the Library playset. This would wrap up the line nicely before the McFarlane/DC license comes to an end.

Hatter and False Face appeared on a list a while back. We also never got a Bat-copter. We literally got every vehicle in the line, plus a bonus Jokermobile but no Bat-copter, so that will always gnaw at me. Wayne and Grayson can be customized thanks to the unmasked heads (unmasked Robin is still pricey but not $350-450 like he used to be...he's under $130 usually as of this post).

Toy Shiz says he was told at Toy Fair it's over due to likeness rights but there must have been plans given the names on the list. I don't really buy that given the existence of the $250 Joker playset with figures, but it's fine. A new Eli Wallach head could give us his version of Mr. Freeze. A new John Astin head could give us his Riddler and a new suited body with derby hat on a pre-existing Gorshin could give us his fancy formal version of Riddler. The 1978 animated Commissioner Gordon could give us the show's Gordon with a tweak or two to the '78 head. The same for Lee Meriwether's Catwoman. And of course with no Mad Hatter figure it just seems incomplete given he was one of the more high profile villains on that show. Lastly, they could have done the pilot version of Batman's suit and there's a Killer Moth that would have been silly but still worth including. Funko gave us the Eli Wallach Mr. Freeze and pilot Batman suit and Mezco gave us the formal, derby wearing Riddler in the 5-Points set, so there is precesdent there for these being made.

I wouldn't buy these, not my personal thing, But I must speak on how much I love that Packaging, Also really at this point MCF starting up a new DC subline seems kinda mean, everyone knows (or it's likely) these will maybe only get to wave 3, and then be cancelled...so everyone knows it's going to leave you with a very incomplete collection, and no question if there is even 4 waves, you are going to see 3 Batmans and at least 2 Supermans....

That Packaging though....?

I suppose there is a chance that when he loses the master license, some of these sublines might survive. But I agree with you that it is odd to launch something at this point.

Hopefully he'll be able to do the complete team(s) before the license goes back to Mattel.

Honestly liking these Super Friends figures. They look to be articulated the same way the 60s Batman tv show figures are. I only bought one of those, but liked it despite having less articulation than some of the other McFarlane lines. I do wish the legs were able to move more than just back and forth for the sake of posability, but that isnt a deal breaker for me. My only concern with the Super Friends figures is how deep he will to be able to go into the roster in the time he has left with the DC license. Id hate to pick these up only to find out we wont be able get the bulk of the main heroes. Even if he was only able to do Superman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman, I think I would be happy with that (though the wonder twins would be kind of fun). It would be awesome if he could crank them all out, but I am not sure how long it takes for him to roll these out.
