I also mistakenly believe the ban of firearms was a Mcfarlane policy until someone pointed out the directive came from Warner, probably because was implemented during the McFarlane years since it didn't have those restrictions with Mattel.

Oh I knew the ban didn't come from him. Whatever issues I may have with his figures, he didn't make that policy. Which is why I pointed out he made a weapons pack under his own brand, not Warners, that could be used for these DC figures.

I think someone finally got the clue that such a rule made absolutely no sense. I know he did make firearms under his own company that would have been compatible with these 7" figures.

I just shake my head at the reasoning process some of these people use.

Probably a change of staff at Warners licensing, I expect.

This is one of the few occasions in which both the regular release and the Collector Edition are comic accurate and not a senseless repaint.

I realize I'm most likely late to this, but I don't really follow this line. I thought McFarlane wasn't allowed to include guns with his is DC figures.

That was a rule for a while, but now it seems if the words "Not a Toy" are included somewhere in promos/packaging it's fine.

Honestly it's getting really interesting to see what Todd's doing with this line, finally looks like he's hitting his strides, doing tons of more obscure figures and classic looks, and it's all at the end of it, which kinda stinks, especially for all of the die-hard collectors for this line, I guess you can say Todd's going out with a bang, he shoulda have started this way, he spent 5 years dancing in a circle of Batmens and it was a hard thing to watch, but now he's feeling like the training wheels came off, and he's moving, only now he's running to the finish line.

This line might have captured my initial attention had the output been what it is as of right now.

Funny thing is, if he had not done as many Batmen's as he did, there would still be a set of folks complaining about even that! But I do agree, coming from a huge Batman fan myself, it was a bit too much with the Batmen- not every figure he came out with I liked! Most people just want classics, some comic renditions, a main comic standard, and some of the movie figures that harken back to the 90s kenners days. I pre-ordered Metron this is a dope set, I'm glad he's doing more New Gods characters from both Apokolips and New Genesis. I really hope he can do a Highfather as he's like a Zeus type character-it would be dope.
