SOLD OUT: FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE JUSTICE LEAGUE #3, EMPIRE #2

SOLD OUT AGAIN: SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1, TEEN TITANS #1

DC Comics has chalked up four more sold-out issues, as FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE JUSTICE LEAGUE #3, EMPIRE #2, TEEN TITANS #1 Third Printing, and SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1 Second Printing have all sold out at the publisher.

"We overprinted each of these titles, but thanks to the readers' enthusiasm, we blew through those extra copies in short order," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP > -> Sales & Marketing. "Having TEEN TITANS #1 Third Printing and SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1 Second Printing both sell out shows that demand for them isn't letting up, so we recommend that retailers increase their orders on upcoming issues now."

FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE JUSTICE LEAGUE #3 (JUL030187) sold out at DC five days before its in-store date of September 4. This follows the sell-outs of the miniseries' first two issues.

"I'm extremely grateful for the warm welcome back we've received," says co-writer J.M. DeMatteis. "And they said vaudeville was dead!"

"Guess we hit a nerve...again," adds co-writer Keith Giffen.

TEEN TITANS #1 Third Printing (JUN035270) sold out at DC two days after arriving in stores on August 20, one week after issue #2 sold out at the publisher.

"This is amazing. And again, we can't thank everyone enough for all the support," says writer Geoff Johns. "Issue #3 is going to blow people away."

EMPIRE #2 (JUN030174) sold out at DC two days after its in-store date of August 27. With issue #0, this makes the third issue of EMPIRE to sell out at the publisher.

"It really hit home last night," says writer Mark Waid. "I was walking through a bad part of town, my fresh comp copies of EMPIRE #2 foolishly right out in full view, so I had no one to blame but myself. When I awoke from the beating, I still had my wallet and watch, of course...but my EMPIRE #2s were gone, probably forever. Retailers: order sufficient quantities issue #3. Help stop the madness. Please."

SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1 Second Printing (JUN035269) sold out at the publisher on September 2, after arriving in stores on August 27.

"After a year on BATMAN, seeing the same kind of magic translate over to SUPERMAN/BATMAN is just amazing," says writer Jeph Loeb. "I couldn't be more proud of our team: Ed McGuinness, Dexter Vines, Dave Stewart, my good luck charm Richard Starkings, the Dynamic Duo of Tom Palmer, Jr., and Eddie Berganza, along with Matt Idelson on drums.
