As reported by
Newsday earlier today, DC Comics is being sued by Carmine Infantino for the ownership rights to The Flash, Batgirl and other characters that he claims to have created between the years of 1943 and 1967.
Infantino was commissioned in 1956 to revive The Flash, and the creation of that character's second incarnation (Barry Allen) was the result.
During the 60's, Infantino also worked on reviving the Batman comic, and the creation of Batgirl was the result of that.
None of the other DC Comics characters that might be included in the lawsuit were mentioned in Newsday's report. Infantino is also suing for monetary damages.
