DC Comics has signed two of the hottest artists in comics to 3-year exclusive agreements: Adam Kubert (Ultimate Fantastic Four, Ultimate X-Men) and Andy Kubert (1602, Origin, Ultimate Iron Man, Ultimate X-Men).
"I am so thrilled and excited to be a part of DC Comics," says Andy. "After making my home at Marvel for the last 15 years a place that I love and will continue to do so I get to stretch my wings a bit and tackle the DC icons! I can't wait! As a comics artist, I can't tell you how fortunate I feel right now to have the career that I have had, in a medium that I love so much. I am very, very lucky."
"This is a big move for Andy and myself... huge... and it's hard to put into words the excitement I'm feeling," says Adam. "I could say how accommodating and professional DC Comics has been in all our dealings, in particular Dan DiDio and Terri Cunningham (VP Managing Editor). I could say that I'm finally going to get to draw all those iconic characters I grew up with. I could say that I sincerely feel my best work is yet to come. It's difficult to put this all into a compact soundbite. So, let me steal a quote from my mom instead: 'What more could a mother want?'"
"Without a doubt this is one of the highlights of my time here at DC," says Dan DiDio, VP Executive Editor, DCU. "Never has any signing felt so right. Both of these men belong here, and the entire company is excited that they will be working on our greatest characters."
Some of their previous work for DC Comics may be found in the ADAM STRANGE: MAN OF TWO WORLDS TP (STAR18232), which is available for reorder.
