It seems like you will not produce any more Star Trek figures due to retailers not being interested. It it possible to make the Star Trek website’s shop carry exclusive products? There are defiantlyenough fans to keep the line running.
DSTChuck: We can’t make anyone do anything but I can promise you if Trek or any other website or retailer came to us and wanted a figure and could handle the production qty needed for the order, we’d be happy to make the sale.

hi , looking forward to the new retro star trek figures - we’ve been waiting years for a retro nurse chapel and we hope janice rand is’nt too far behind . is there any chance of the chapel and rand action figures finally being released this year - if you dont release any other star trek figures can we at least have these 2 this year , been waiting ages . also could you update your catalog with all of the star trek figures youve released , i know there are several exclusive figures that are not shown on the online catalog - be good to see the whole collection . thanks
DSTChuck: We are finishing up the Pike retro cloth wave right now and we’re not 100% sure where to go after that, while we do like Chapel and Rand, the hair is just not looking like we want it to look so we’ll have to see where we go if the Pike sales are strong.
Konstantinos Halo
Hello, this is my first time asking a question so i hope you answer. So let’s begin: Have you ever considered mortal kombat? With the new game coming out i think they will sell much. And it would be cool!!! Now that you are partners with microsoft what about gears of war?that would be cool too.If the dc line returns it will be good but i know that it’s mostly on dc’s court so we can only pray. For the sony license i’d like to see infamous, god of war, killzone, little big planet, modnation racers, twisted metal and the list goes on.Any plans for Transformers? I hope you answer to me thank you. : )!!!!!!!!!!
DSTChuck: We answer every question sent into the site. Yes we have had internal discussion about MK and so far have decided not to look into it. We’re not really a video game company BUT if Halo stays strong and M V C3 is strong we might look into a few more. It have to be a long standing franchise like a SF, Halo or MK for us to consider it – I think.

No question, just a request: We need the Wrecking Crew! Preferably contained in a regular wave, but PLEASE, if you do a box set of four, don’t finish them off with TRU exclusives. Those are impossible to find to make a complete set. I’ve given up hope of ever finding an X-Force Angel for anything approaching a reasonable price.
DSTChuck: We have considered the Wrecking Crew from time to time so you never know.

TRU undeniably has elevated the Minimate brand to new levels which is to be applauded but ,Chuck, please what can you do about the diabolical distribution of Minimates to & from TRU stores? I guess that once you’ve supplied stock to TRU you probably have no control thenceforth but are you aware that many long-standing collectors are so frustrated in obtaining them that they have ceased bothering? Surely something can also be done to improve TRU.com’s miserable performance & haphazard inventory which basically works more like a lottery than a business? If individual stores actually stock Minimates then often or not it is weeks after the expected release & many fans just tire of relentlessly phoning, visiting & searching the stores without success & finally just giving up! Resorting immediately to the secondary market to obtain what is supposedly a current release isn’t conducive to obtaining loyalty or confidence in TRU or, indirectly, to the brand . It is a dreadful shame that fans clamouring for the latest Minimate releases are continually thwarted by the fact that they can’t get the product . Trust me,this isn’t endemic to a particular area it appears to be the norm almost everywhere with online tales of woe being written almost daily . Can things improve ? I hope so. Thanks for listening, Rob.
DSTChuck: Correct we have nothing to do with what TRU does with the product. I am sure they are doing the best they can. It does them no good to have product sitting in one store and not selling and be in demand at another store that has no stock. I do know the different sizes of each store can have an impact on what they stock. I have no interaction with the .com folks but I would imagine selling toys from cases that are not even packed will be a headache no matter what you do. I am very sorry you are frustrated and I am sure that’s not TRU’s intention with this line. There is no reason for them to be plotting how to upset fans/customers.

Heya Chuck, Sam from Oz here. Just saw some images of your Calico Jack pirate minimates & ship. They are really, really awesome!! Great work. Calico Jack was well known for having female pirates work about his ship, Anne Bonny & Mary Read. Will those two people be appearing in your Minimate line? Sorry if that has been asked before. Take care of yourselves & keep up the amazing work. Regards, Sam.
DSTChuck: Ann is already being done as a full sized in our Femme Fatales line as well as a Minimate in a box set under the same name. I’d look for more from the Calico Jack family if the line gains the support we expect it will.

Do the wheels fold up and down on the new back to the future minimate time machine? or arethey stuck in the flying position only? thanks! - jeff
DSTChuck: No Jeff they are locked in position.
Benjamin Hayden
Will we ever see any Minimates based on the Kick-Ass & Kick-Ass 2 comic series?
DSTChuck: We currently have no plans to work on the property – but we never say never.

More Marvel Select questions - What do you think of these ideas? Next year will be Ghostrider and Avengers - so any chance of Ghost Rider and a motorcycle? Or Ultron with a Jarvis pvc? Heck, I’d buy two figures to get gates to the Avengers Mansion like they did with Marvel Girl. Or Professor X in a hover chair, or Jim Lee style Jean Grey with 1/2 a danger room observatory? Or how about Marvel Select try their skill at theh rest of the FF - I bet you could make an amazing base for a Torch, incredible Mr. Fantastic, or umteem Sue Storm variants.. Don’t disapoint us fans. Thanks.
DSTChuck: We tried to cost in a cycle last time we did a Ghost Rider figure and could not make it work but we’ll keep trying. We’d have no plans for a Jarvis, but we do have a plan of sorts for Ultron and you will see that soon. I do think at some point we’ll need to turn our attention to FF for the Select line.
James X
The 1990’s X-Men Animated series character designs are extremely popular with both casual and hardcore fans. I see that you have added more characters/costumes designs from this era to your minimates line, which is great, but I am wondering if you have plans to add more of these popular designs to your Marvel Select line as well? Marvel Select would greatly benefit from Jim Lee Cyclops, Jim Lee Jean Grey, 90’s Cable, Apocalypse, and maybe even Professor X with a gold hoverchair. Please don’t forget about your fans who grew up with the X-Men Animated series, we represent a huge number of toy collectors!
DSTChuck: James I just don’t know if we’ve ever really considered that for MS, being limited to 9 releases per year means we really have to try and pick our spots (esp with the movies)
Chris Gren
With the talks about a reboot of Buffy, has any consideration been given to restarting the Buffy & Angel figure lines or doing figures based on the comic continuation of both series?
DSTChuck: I think any new Buffy movie I have heard about would not include Joss, or the established story line so we’d most likely pass.
