The journey continues, with another series of detailed action figures based on the Lord of the Rings film trilogy! Gandalf the Grey makes his debut in the line, with his staff and his sword Glamdring, and the other figure in the assortment is a customizable Uruk-hai Orc, including multiple interchangeable heads and weapons. Each features over 16 points of articulation, and each comes packaged in a full-color window box. Designed by Eamon O'Donoghue, sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios. That would be great, Loyal Subjects proved to have good ideas but they don't seem to intend to compete in the 1:12 figure market, at least not at the moment, another negative aspect of the BST AXN line is that they don't seem to have a wide availability either, BBTS or EE doesn't have them for sale, I haven't seen them on Amazon either, only through third parties, I found out that HotTopic sold a few and a few other Etailers in addition to sporadic sightings at Walmart.

Yeah I mean I was just spitballing with the whole Loyal Subjects thing, and that was because they are the only other manufacturer making LOTR toys, surely anyone could be better suited for the job then Diamond, maybe Hasbro wants to do a tribute to Toybiz (like they do Kenner) and re-do their ToyBiz LOTR figures, that actually would be the coolest way to have LOTR figures.

I've never seen a single DST toy for the last few years. The last toy I've bought was the Marvel Select Incredible Hulk and that was back in 2010.

They don't look bad but a lot of of Diamond Select offerings tend to look good at first glance and once you get them the flaws start showing.

Now that this IP will come to life again with the help of the Amazon Prime series, I hope the license will go to another company, I don't know, Neca or even McFarlane, anyone is better than DST.

Yeah I agree, as much as I don't have a huge issue with DST other then their store placement/distribution model (only disney stores/comic shops) these figures are just not easy to come by at mass retail and etail, and it's just a bad look for a big IP, DST is sorta a joke brand, they have no consistency in their product, they are diminutive in articulation, they have a terrible product output schedule, and cant carry a line longer then a short span of waves.

Loyal Subjects should just get the LOTR's line, they are already doing a decent job in the 5'' catagory, just scale em up.
