DIAMOND SELECT TOYS, INKWORKS JOIN FORCES WITH BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER CROSS PROMOTION
Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC (DST) and Inkworks are beginning to team up in a series of cross promotions designed to celebrate the continued popularity of Joss Whedon's Chosen One, beginning with the fall release of DST's Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tara and Anya Action Figure Assortments.
Offered in specialty stores, every figure offered in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tara and Anya Action Figure Assortment - including "New Moon Rising" Tara, "Hush" Tara, and Season Five Anya - will come with a promotional trading card (#D-1) for Inkworks' Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Women of Sunnydale premium trading card series. The promo card features information on the trading card series, and features images of Buffy Summers (portrayed by actress Sarah Michelle Gellar), Anya Jenkins (played by actress Emma Caulfield), and Tara Maclay (depicted by actress Amber Benson).
At the same time, Inkworks will be offering collectors one promotional card (#DST-1) in every Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Women of Sunnydale premium trading card box that presents DST's entire line of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tara and Anya Action Figures. The promo card features an eye-catching image of Anya on its front, and showcases figures from the entire action figure line on its back.
DST is also providing Inkworks with a special Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Pre-Production "Hush" Tara Action Figure as a bonus in the trading card manufacturer's Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Women of Sunnydale premium trading card series. The highly collectible figure is available via redemption cards that are randomly inserted into packs at a rate of approximately one per case. Once redeemed, collectors will receive the figure, which is packaged in a white "pre-production" box with a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Women of Sunnydale label.
