J.K. Rowling has announced that she will give a midnight reading of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The reading will take place in Edinburgh Castle and will herald the release of the sixth book in the series on July 16.
A statement on her official website explains that newspapers and bookshops in Britain, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand will choose 70 children to attend the event.
