Paul Thomas Anderson, director of the first “Mortal Kombat” movie, is in talks to sit in the helmers chair again for “Mortal Kombat 3”, says
MKRevolution.
Set to start filming in October, the $15 million dollar sequel will see the entire original cast back for their respective roles, including Christopher Lambert and Linden Ashby.
"I’ll fight to save mankind. Battle evil," Ashby, who plays Johnny Cage, chuckled in a recent interview. "Good will triumph… Now I just need to be ready. I have been talking to the producers for the past month or so pretty intensely, and they say we are set to go. I'll be reprising my role as Johnny Cage. It's supposed to start shooting this summer.”
According to the site, the film will definitely get a theatrical release.
