Alex Proyas will not be directing it. Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill won't be starring in it. About the only thing "Jurassic Park 4" is going to have in common with the previous installments is the obligatory Sir Richard Attenborough cameo.
The latest draft of the script, by William Monahan and John Sayles, has been reviewed over at
Aint it Cool, and though the plot of the film sounds a little wacky, it's also quite imaginative.
The film's hero will be a new character named Nick Harris, an unemployed soldier of fortune, who gets roped into a job under the employ of Dr John Hammond (Attenborough). What Attenborough wants Harris to do is go to back to Jurassic Park (Hammond's plan is to breed some new dinosaurs that can’t reproduce and introduce them into the wild population) and fetch some sort of sample. When he gets there he's attacked by both Dinosaurs and the company that currently occupy the former tourist attraction.
