Twentieth Century Fox have decided to do a second "X-Men" spin-off - following the recently announced "Wolverine" with Hugh Jackman - this one centering on the character of Magneto, played by Ian McKellen in the films.
Sheldon Turner ["The Longest Yard"] will pen the film, a movie that will be set in the character's younger years. What that means is that Sir Ian mighn't be back.
"I pitched a film that is almost 'The Pianist' meets 'X-Men,' about a guy who, after watching his family slaughtered, has an awakening of his powers and seeks revenge," Turner tells Variety.
The film's storyline will also feature the character of Professor X (Played by Patrick Stewart in the films).
