Stallone To Resurrect Rambo

Along with his iconic character ROCKY BALBOA, SYLVESTER STALLONE is bringing back another one of his most famous characters - former Green Beret JOHN RAMBO.

The film, tentatively titled RAMBO IV, was first announced last year (05) and is set to go into production on 1 October (06) in Thailand, although the star admits it hasn't been easy finding a worthy adversary for the character.

Stallone says, "You know, it's hard. Politics have changed so much. Who do we fight? The Finns? You can't do that.

"The Dutch? That's not gonna work. Wooden shoes are not gonna look cool.

"I called Soldier of Fortune magazine and said, 'What is the most critical man-doing-inhumanity-to-man situation right now in the world? Where is it at?'"

The star found out that Burma was the answer and wrote a script where he placed Rambo living a monastic lifestyle in nearby Bangkok, Thailand and
salvaging old PT boats and tanks for scrap metal.

He adds, "It's like he's stripping himself down. That old piece of military
equipment."
