MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ JOINS THE CAST OF ABC'S "LOST"

Michelle Rodriguez is set to join the cast of "Lost" when production resumes for its second season. "Lost" will air WEDNESDAYS (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) this fall on the ABC Television Network.

Ms. Rodriguez plays Ana-Lucia Cortez, a passenger on Oceanic flight #815. Her character was briefly introduced several weeks ago in part one of the "Lost" season finale in a flashback scene with Jack (Matthew Fox) at a Sydney Airport bar.

Ms. Rodriguez first came to the industry's attention with her award-winning performance in the critically acclaimed feature "Girlfight," for which she was awarded the 2001 Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance and the 2001 National Board of Review Award for Breakout Performance of the Year. She just completed a starring role in "The Breed," produced by Wes Craven, and her voice will be heard in the animated film "Sian Ka'an," alongside Salma Hayek and Alfred Molina. Her additional film credits include "S.W.A.T.," "Resident Evil," "Blue Crush" and "The Fast and the Furious." Ms. Rodriguez appeared in the Off-Broadway production of "The Vagina Monologues." She also completed voiceover work on a slew of popular video games, which include "True Crime: Streets of LA," "Driv3r" and "Halo 2."

"Lost" stars Naveen Andrews as Sayid, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as Hurley, Maggie Grace as Shannon, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Malcolm David Kelley as Walt, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun, Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Dominic Monaghan as Charlie, Terry O'Quinn as Locke, Harold Perrineau as Michael and Michelle Rodriguez as Ana-Lucia.

J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, who co-created "Lost," serve as executive producers along with Bryan Burk, Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse. "Lost," which is filmed entirely on location in Hawaii, is from Touchstone Television.
