Comedy Central® And "South Park" Creators Renew For Three More Years

Deal Includes 42 New Episodes Of "South Park"

NEW YORK, September 8, 2005 -- COMEDY CENTRAL and "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have renewed their contract in a deal that will keep the creative duo at the cable channel through the end of 2008, it was announced today by Doug Herzog, president, COMEDY CENTRAL.

The deal consists of three more years of "South Park" episodes with 14 new episodes each year. Parker and Stone will continue under the new agreement to write, direct and edit every episode of "South Park" as they have since the creation of the show. New episodes of "South Park" will begin on October 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

"I was at COMEDY CENTRAL when we launched the first season of 'South Park' and I am thrilled to see them continue through 2008," says Herzog. "Matt and Trey are creative geniuses and a huge part of the COMEDY CENTRAL family and we look forward to continued success."

The deal with COMEDY CENTRAL for Parker and Stone was negotiated by their attorney Kevin Morris of Barnes, Morris, Klein, Mark, Yorn, Barnes & Levine. They are also represented by William Morris.

Launched in 1997, the Emmy-nominated "South Park," now in its ninth season, remains the highest-rated series on COMEDY CENTRAL.
