'Lost' Episode Turns Up On DVD

Much like the recent mini-episode of "24" that was made for the Season 3 DVD set, "Lost" co-creator's J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, tell DVD Exclusive, they're considering adding something akin to their first season collection.

The 5-minute or so episode would examine why the plane went down.

"We'd love to have something [only] people who get a DVD can see," Lindelof said. "It's just a matter of getting the actors and getting the money and finding the time."

Buena Vista will release the DVD set in September, about three weeks before "Lost"'s second-season premiere, he said.

According to Lindelof, confirmed extras on the Lost set will include deleted scenes, lots of commentaries, and a documentary about the plane that the production team located in the Mojave Desert, sliced into pieces and barged to Hawaii to serve as the show's backdrop. "And I personally had a video camera and was sort of documenting the making of the pilot, and I think we're going to do a thing with that," he said.
