Who is a part of the Series 61 set? Who? Who? Who? None other than Mr Booty-O’s himself, Big E.
What can we say about the “Powerhouse” of The New Day? Well firstly, this figure is without a doubt energetic to a fault. Big E either looks utterly scared or extremely psychotic. Trying to capture an expression that is only seen on the packaging might seem a bit unnecessary. Maybe in the right angle, this face is something Big E would make? Face scans like this make me wish this was on a figure that would be more gimmicky, something like the Retro figures line. Not so much on an Elite Series. Or, have him packed with a second normal expression.
The entrance gear is identical to what Big E wears and looks perfect on him. He is massive, as rightfully he should be. His arms seem a bit thin, since Big E is a beast and his arms are no joke in real life.
The paint apps are great and it’s important to have Big E in the Elite collection. New day is one of the most over factions in wrestling today, so Big E will be a most sought after figure. His ring gear has so much flexibility and super vibrant, just like all of the members of The New Day have.
His build-a-display is fine, but like I've mentioned before, they connect together and it seems to be a bit of a waste of time to connect to make the artwork come together. I will once again state, I wish they had either official logos on the display or a static image from the TitanTtron.
Also, if you don't get all the figures, you will have an incomplete background.
Other than that, Big E was so much fun to photograph, even with the silly expression. Kids and adult collectors will have more fun playing with and/or displaying this figure. He is well made, perfect paint apps and a key member of WWE Tag Team Division and, I believe, a figure you will not want to pass up.
This figure is currently available for pre-order by Mattel on the
Amazon SummerSlam Section. Thanks to Mattel for providing this figure free of charge for review. Check out images for the Elite Series wave 61 figures which include Big E below.
