Playmates Toys Star Trek Debut In 6 Days

by Jay Cochran
January 18, 2022
Back in July Playmates Toys had announced that they would once again be releasing action figures, vehicles and ships, role play and other toy categories for all Star Trek properties. Playmates was well known for their Star Trek figures back in the 90's and then they did a brief stint of products during the first Chris Pine movie. Well now it looks like they will be starting the actual reveals for their new stuff in just 6 days from now.

Still no details on exactly what they will be doing as far as scale, design or anything like that. We don't even know which series/movies they will be starting off with and whether it will be stuff for the modern shows like Discovery, Prodigy and Picard or whether it will be more classic stuff. They likely will sooner or later do a mixture of both.

Of course when more details become available in 6 days we will be sure to bring that news to you.

These reek of being nothing more than the exact same toys from the '90s. Easy pass on the figures, but boy am I desperate to buy starships again. Hopefully the lame packaging doesn't equate to the ship being lame as well.

I don't think these are OFFICIAL backing boards for the upcoming figures....those was photoshopped made by Trek Sphere fanbase-website.
