Mattel Q&A For May 1, 2010

by Jay Cochran
April 30, 2010
TNI: Can you give a date or approximate date of when the MOTUC Battle Cat will be re-released on Matty?

Mattel: We don’t have an exact date nailed down but it will be in fall 2010.

TNI: What is the release date for the DCUC Wal-Mart GL 5 pack and when will we see images of the remaining 3 figures in it?

Mattel: Images will appear later this month. We don’t have an exact date, but it will be late summer.

TNI: Amazon listed these figures as being part of the DCUC wave 15 line-up:

- Martian Manhunter
- Starman
- Batman Sinestro Corps
- Raven
- Omac
- Jemm
- Golden Pharaoh

Care to confirm or deny this list and if confirm can you tell us what the Collect-To-Connect figure will be?

Mattel: We can’t comment on any early “leaked” list. Wave 15 will be revealed mid-May.

TNI: What of the chances we will see a new Horde Trooper figure released in the MOTUC line?

Mattel: A Horde Trooper is an army builder we would love to get to sooner rather then later. More often than not, if a character was a figure in the vintage line we’d like to get to it eventually.

TNI: Anything cool or special about the SDCC exclusive Plastic Man packaging you can tell us about or show us?

Mattel: We don’t have images yet, but the package will be shaped like Plastic Man himself, as if he has formed himself to look like the package!
