They were listed on the BBTS several months ago, and they are one of the official places to preorder it (this is made clear on the Power-Con website). I preordered the 5-pack in May and the She-Ra Origins single pack in July. These sold out months ago.

oh!, and what else?.

Looks like cardboard to me. Heavy duty, well printed, nested boxes. But cardboard boxes none-the-less. You can even see the scotch tape holding it all together. At this price I was expecting something more along the lines of a vintage carrying case similar to the NECA TMNT one you mentioned. But this is definitely underwhelming.

I see what youre saying and I didnt even notice the tape until you mentioned it.

For what its worth I know Val (who runs the show) and have helped him out a few times (based on the fact that I live in L.A. and work in the entertainment industry) so I know while these are being manufactured through Mattel as a vendor/partner all the actual development/manufacturing/packaging/etc. costs are usually being 100% paid for by Power-Con and this coming out of Vals budget which obviously greatly limits what they can afford to do particularly in comparison to Mattel, NECA, etc.  End of day though, yeah, I totally get where you are coming from and as a customer if the price is high and the outcome isnt what you wanted then its not going to matter who is actually funding the product and how much budget they have to work with.

Nothing from this line has been exceptional as of yet!!!! All underwhelming!!!

I got two of these...one from Power Con and one from BBTS (cause they offer collector grade).  Both were 269.99.

My guess is maybe it will be similar to NECAs SDCC animated TMNT set from a couple of years ago where it comes in an old school style snap case that allow you to open and close it without actually destroying any of the packaging when accessing the figures.

I hope we get Mer Man in the mainline soon. Also I hope we eventually get She Ra in the mainline as well, except with molded hair and a plastic cape and skirt.

Late last night Mattel released this little spinner video giving us a look at the packaging for the new Power-Con 2020 Exclusive Lords Of Power-Con MOTU Origins 5-Pack which was being sold for $269.99 and now sold out. These figures are based on early MOTU prototypes from the original toy line.

While the physical convention for this year was canceled due to the COVID pandemic, there will be a virtual convention taking place this weekend. We expect some new Mattel reveals to be made during a panel being held Sunday evening at 7:30pm ET.

Looks good. I would like to see close up pictures of the inside background from the Figures... Looks like a great addition to not open it...
