Masters of the Universe Origins Snake Lair Playset Crowdfund Ends Failing To Unlock Stretch Goal

Mattel's Masters of the Universe Origins Snake Lair Playset Crowdfund campaign has come to and end failing to reach the 8k backers needed to unlock the stretch goal for the Priest Pythonus Origins figure even after the end date for this campaign was extended from August 28 to September 2.

The final tally of backers for this one looks to be 6,576. This means the Snake Lair playset along with the Chimera will move into production for anyone who backed this campaign. Anyone who backed the campaign by the end of August 14th will also get the Origins Skeletal Lady Slither figure.

This is the second Masters of the Universe Origins crowdsource campaign from Mattel which failed to reach enough backers to unlock the stretch goal. In 2022 Mattel's Origins Eternia Playset campaign also fell short and the Origins Keclar, leader of the Elders figure did not get produced.

Whether Pythonus or Keclar ever get made in some other way down the road by Mattel remains unknown, but for now collectors will have to do without on those two.

Lol im confused. Wave 3 prototypes were already shown at sdcc. I remember seeing them and thinking the warrior/blanka mashup reminded me of Lou Ferrigno Hulk.

I'm really surprised and sort of not, that the Snake Lair is getting funded at all. The price is wildly high for what it is. Why do ppl keep caving in to FOMO?
