I bought my Modulok at the Pathmark supermarket in the 80s.
After getting that first line of Horde figures, I remember telling my parents that MOTU should end. They were surprised to me hear me say it - and of course I stuck with line to the sad end - but it felt like a great high note to go out on.
ALL of those Horde figures were original tooling, but still fit within MOTU. In a way, the Horde was what Power Lords could have been. Those designs were just too alien... and Revell could not make a decent action figure to save their lives ?

Have the same problem with Mekaneck and Extendar both being Heroic Warriors. If you're going to give characters such similar powers, at least put them on different teams to oppose each other.
Rattlor sort of is the counterpart to Mekaneck.
As for Multibot, is there anything that obviously makes it a member of the Horde? I never owned it as a kid, but looking at some photos I don't see any Horde insignias. You're free to pretend it's a member of whichever faction you want. Maybe it was created by the Horde and reprogrammed?

I Have been anticipating your arrival in Origins form!, I'm also so very happy to know this is a mainline release or at least not a Mattelcreations exclusive, while Amazon can be hit or miss in Canada, if I need to bite the bullet I'd order from US Amazon, granted let's just hope this isn't a hard figure to get, I really desire this one, Modulok was one of my prized toys as a kid, Also this is one of the original release characters we can cross off the list, we are getting so close to completing the original line up.
Fun anecdote. On the first vacation I took with my family as a kid, we went to a touristic city and there was a small toy store with a whole wall full of carded MOTU figures. My parents gave me the option of one figure to choose. I picked Multibot and yes, there was Hordak, Multibot, pretty much all the Horde characters plus the good guys... For that reason Multibot has a special Nostalgia moment...????

I agree so I thought their way to do it was to bring to the table a newer and improved character with similar attributes man... For me there was no wrong in doing that because of the rich amount of characters the line has...???

He looks great, but I'm sticking with the Cartoon Collection for now, so I'll get that one when he eventually comes out.
