I watched a review for Panthro and have to admit, the arms don't seem as gangly as they do in the promotional pics.

Yeah No I actually think it looks fine, I recently got Panthro and Tygra.

doesn't really look bad in person, something was off about some previous photos.

Went to a different Walmart last week and they were sold out of the Thundercats as well.

It was smart for Mattel/Walmart to stock these in a special display alongside the Origins Cartoon Collection. I wasnt collecting that line, but I enjoyed the Thundercats enough that I had to get She-Ra and He-Man (actually Faker, since He-Man cant be found for a good price) to go with them.

My local Walmart stocked the MOTU Thundercats as part of the special Hasbro/Mattel display. All of them have since sold out (except Skel-Ra, probably due to the higher price point and the fact he is stocked on the bottom shelf near the floor, below the Masterverse figures, while his wave mates are on the top peg). I know its anecdotal, but I hope this is a sign that the line is successful, and that it will lead to more characters like Bengali, Lynx-O and Pumyra. Only a few (if any) of theMOTU Origins and Masterverse figures have sold.

I totally love Super7s Thundercats Ultimates, but this MOTU crossover line is really cool in its own way, and a lot more fun than I expected. I enjoy swapping from armored to classic looks, just to change up the display now and then.

I really like the eye of Thundera on Cheetaras headpiece, and that the Sword of Omens has both versions of the eye on reverse sides.

Two problems. Number one is missing paint: Cheetaras armored head has no spots in her hair, and the rear loincloth is unpainted. And Mumm-Ras tongue is unpainted. Next, I wish they included the regular Power Sword with Lion-O or He-Man, and the Havoc Staff with Skel-Ra.

I was only planning to get Lion-O and Cheetara, but after having them in hand Im actually excited to get Tygra, Panthro and He-Man. But I think Ill wait for the wave 3 Panthro, as the color scheme works much better in my opinion, with the silver armor and blue loincloth. That gold armor on Lion-O looks pretty good too.

The entire line seems to have long-ish arms but Panthro glaringly so. Fyi, regular forearm proportions are about a human head size from wrist to elbow.

There seems to be a certain semblance of fans who seem to misremember Panthro as being some big hulking brute when in actuality he was the shortest adult member of the team. A bit thicker than Lion-O but not by much.

Having said all that, i got lion-o recently and his long-ish arms don't seem to be as noticeable in person as they seem to be when viewed in pics. And I have to admit, I like him quite a bit.

I don't see your problem with Panthro.

As for the rest, I don't have a problem with a normal ThunderCats line, but this crossover line is certainly more interesting to me.

To begin with, just having any Thundercats is great. Having said that, the combos are an awkward, confusing, and unnecessary gimmick. And in addition to that, its like these figures are from two totally different lines. Tigras dimensions work perfectly, and are more consistent with origins. Panthro is way, way, off in proportion, so much so that he looks like he is from a completely different company and line of toys.

The rest seem to be in proportion, but for some unknown, mind boggling reason, some dunce at Mattel thought it would be a good idea to make Panthro, one of the most popular characters, completely different and incompatible with the others, having long exaggerated arms, and a body that is totally different than origins, or even the rest of the current line he is supposed to be a part of.

Why would they do this? The combos make no sense, the body proportions make no sense, but this line has so much potential.

They should have just continued Thundercats origins in a normal way.

please finish out all Thundercats characters in a normal way, and give us another proper version of Panthro.

is that so much to ask Mattel?

I like the he-man but he's quite off model to me (even with the armor bits off) so I would get him just as a cool, generic barbarian type.

I'm glad it's a more unique look for him. We don't have MotU Origins figures of the other characters, so giving them the option to look like the regular ThunderCats versions makes sense, but We have plenty of He-Man figures already, so if he just looked like a normal He-Man figure, it'd feel kinda pointless.
