In an interview by
Action Figure Junkies with Funko's CEO
Brian Mariotti, it was revealed that they will be doing a line of 6"
Mad Max: Fury Road figures for their Legacy line.
"Legacy isn’t dead..we will see MAD MAX: FURY ROAD soon."
While we are glad to hear the Legacy line isn't dead, we do hope that when it returns, it returns with better quality control. Many of the figures previously released in the line were plagued by a wide variety of breakage issues, especially with the first wave of Game of Thrones figures they did. No word on what characters they will be doing for Mad Max or when these will see release.
In the interview Brian also mentions they will be launching some other new line of action figures which he says people will like very much.
Funko is likely looking for things to generate some positive headlines after last week going public on the New York Stock Exchange and suffering one of the worst first-day returns for an IPO in 17 years. It was
reported that shares for the company fell more than 40 percent after its initial public offering even though it was being priced below the expected level.
