Die Hard POP Vinyl Figures From Funko

by Jay Cochran
September 26, 2018
You can finally watch your favorite Christmas movie with the toughest NYPD detective ever to foil an elaborate German terrorist plot. The John McClane Pop! looks somewhat the worse for wear with blood on his hand and shirt, but that won’t stop him from stopping mastermind Hans Gruber whose Pop! is in surprising good condition considering everything that goes down that fateful Christmas Eve. Tony Vreski looks downright festive wearing a Santa hat and more than a little blood. Sergeant Al Powell has his priorities well in order with a handful of Twinkies. Hans Gruber wearing a dapper suit is available as a GameStop exclusive. Look for these to be released in October.

I have the motorcycle cop and I want the regular one.

The one that I passed was that special edition with the case of roses and the shotgun. If they had the trouble to actually put small roses in it I would consider buying. But this figure is exactly the same T-800 tat has all the accessories.

lol I remember being disappointed that there wasn't anything in the box.

I really just pick and choose from these lines, if they are too similar I'll give them a pas unless I see an ultimate version. I kind of want an older Arnold but I also don't want to support that movie lol I'm looking foward to that John Connor, you missing the ultimate T-1000?

Jason they have one for each movie except one that I can't remember right now.

Actually I have the figures from T1 and T2 not Genesys because I thought that they were not worth it.

They will release John Connor from T2 finally! I have to figure out a way to get the T-1000 that I don't have too.

Some of the Jason's are so similar I can't tell much of the difference lol

Yep, Neca is my go-to company as well for movie figures. I can't say for sure if I have all the Ultimates because I started collecting before I really knew the difference and they are kinda all over the place and I know I have doubles and triples of certain figures like the T-800 and Jason.

So do you have the Genesys figures too? I'm been on the fence about getting them since I don't care much for the movie.

All my NECA figures are the Ultimate versions. I have all Terminator figures except the T-1000 regualr version that for some strange reason never got here.

I personally think Neca would do a better job than DST.

I always hold out for the NECA ultimate versions as well. By then they work out any sculpting/articulation issues and include a bunch of cool accessories. The Ultimate Alien Warriors (blue and brown) from Aliens are finally getting released. Just need to figure out what color I prefer.

One figure that they never did as an ultimate version was Rambo and I really wanted that one.

I'd pick an Ultimate from Neca, then theres more chances of them doing a Reginald VelJohnson which I absolutely need in my collection?

The movie completed 30 years these year. That is actually weird that no company other than Funko decided to release product related to this movie. I would be quite glad to see a Ultimate John McLane from Neca. and Mezco is another great company to make the characters, could be like a two pack as they sometimes do boxsets with several characters, namely Ghostbusters and the Warriors that were shown at SDCC.

Maybe I'll get like 3 or something but not all. I also just don't like POP as much asfigures.
