The Snow Cat was a bold choice compared to what they could have done had they put in one of the guaranteed showstoppers: MOBAT, Wolverine,Killer WHALE. We are pacing about what... just over half the average of the other 3? I wouldn't have thought it would be that low but that was a real smart move to keep all tiers below 14k this time. Looks like they really did their research here. The expected decrease isn't reflected in the initial 8k tier hurdle, but the only one I'm somewhat concerned about at this stage is Flint. Better tier offerings all around imo and a very respectable update for a renowned classic.
Looking forward to seeing this in hand next year!
I think Snow Cat will "struggle" compared to the Rattler and the first two HasLabs, but it isn't quite fair to compare it to the HISS tank's first 24 hours. They put a bizarre early bird offer in the HISS tank, which goosed its numbers (and meant that the tank finished all of its tiers very quickly and then kind of stagnated for most of the 45 days).
I like the figures with the Snow Cat, but have no interest in the vehicle. I wish they had chosen a real tank for the Joe team or a jet to display with the Rattler. But, honestly, I probably will only back Cobra projects so they should listen to someone else where the Joe team is concerned.
Thank you for the first analysis of the first almost 48h period. It looks like there won't be as many backers as the previous ones had, but if anything falls, the HasLab team still have the cards - announcing lower tiers or adding some bonus stuff. While this vehicle is not my cup of tea, I belive it's on par with third party releases, so it's a nice one. The only drawback is the price point which is understandable, but I feel that this vehicle is not a necessity for many fans, despite the fact that most of the polls showed this vehicle as a top5 wanted item.
I always loved the design of the Snowcat. Reminds me of those scifi space vehicles / lunar rovers. Definitely backing this.
The Snow Cat looks great. I love all the detailing, the control panel, the frost on the windshield decal - it's got an ice tray to keep food cold? Real nice touch.
Looks pretty darn cool, as do all of the Joe HasLab vehicles, but I don't do Vehicles, and this isn't going to be the first one, since this actually is my least favorite Joe HasLab so far, Love to see these things for the fellow collectors, but easy as pie pass for me.
I wasn't going to back the haslab because of finances but this one really looks good and has lots of upgrade potential. I see a lot of comments being hung up on specific environment vehicle but as far as I'm concerned it isn't a snow-specific vehicle. The design looks more like an All-terrain military vehicle JUST painted white. Capability to remove the turrets so it becomes a troop transport. Side crates that could be switched out maybe for something else later? This vehicle is an easy opponent to the HISS and then some. Wider, longer, taller and having the option to completely re-purpose it puts it above the HISS tank.If I can put this in a specific card that allows a 6 month delayed financing, I am getting this.
I'm going to back this thing, but man I wish we could get a tank for the joes down the line. Especially the Mobat to be precise with Steeler.
I'm a sucker for vehicles and dioramas, so I'll try my best to back this. Not really feeling the figures, but I'm loving the accessories! I hope they bring it to Mexico at not a ridiculously higher price so that I can afford it
Gotta say I'm not a huge fan of this project. Single-environment vehicles have never been a big favorite of mine so arctic anything isn't likely to set my world on fire. That said, the vehicle itself does look nice, but I'm disappointed that they didn't take the opportunity to add in some additional weapons so the Snow Cat isn't defenseless once they've fired their missiles. Always had a big problem with that on multiple Joe vehicles and this would have been a good time to add in a machine gun or something that could be mounted or removed to address that. Oh well.
The tiers above standard are... okay, I guess? Again, not a Joe cartoon fan so I don't have any nostalgia tie to those looks for Jaye and Flint, but if the HasLab succeeds, I hope it succeeds on all levels. If I can get it here in New Zealand, I probably will, but if not, I don't think I'm going to go to any great trouble to make sure I get it.
