My only issue is her height, Hiya toys 1/12 figures like Rambo seem to be Marvel legends type scale (6.5 inch) while this figure at 5.7 seems to be little bit too small but we will see how figure ends up looking.
Either way it's worth the preorder and I hope unlike Hiya's Robocop 1/12 that is stuck in limbo for 2 years now, we will actually see the release.
To be fair, anime/manga based figures tend to be on the smaller end of 1/12 scale. SH Figuarts are definitely smaller than say Marvel Legends, and though Figma is non-scale, the female figures are typically close enough to Figuarts in scale to not look too tiny. If you are looking for bigger anime figures, model kits tend to be the way to go. 30 Minute Sisters and Megami Device both stand closer to 6 inches. Figure-Rise models tend to be rather big as well comparatively. A Goku Figure-Rise model kind of towers over a SH Figuarts Goku despite both being made by Bandai.
Anyway, I think this should scale fine with the likes of Figuarts and Figmas, but would definitely look small next to a 1/12 scale figure that is like 6.5 in. So you probably wouldnt want to display it next to Hiyas Rambo unless you tend to display figures by brand as apposed to theme.
So tempting as I've always wanted a Kusanagi figure on a shelf, but still the price just seems to high for what it is, soft goods here is really neat though, I just wish I could some good Ghost In The Shell figures that were not imports.
Shown below is the new Hiya Toys Ghost In Shell Stand Alone Complex 1/12 Scale Motoko Kusanagi Figure available for pre-order from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com with a suggested retail price of $104.99.
Interesting. I don't tend to collect anime stuff outside of DBZ, a few select statues and a handful of Bebop figures (anime is kind of forbidden from my collection), but I do like this. Anyone have an opinion on the quality of Hiya? Do they have a lot of breakage issues or anything? I don't have a single thing of theirs in my collection.
Yet.
Nice!
