2016 SDCC - MOTU Classics and ThunderCats Interview with Super7

by Jay Cochran
July 24, 2016
Pixel-Dan talks catches up with Brian Flynn from Super7 to get the low-down on their acquisition of Masters of the Universe Classics, and to find out what that fate of ThunderCats Classics is. In the interview Brian states he wants to get the ThunderCats license from Mattel so that he can continue the line beyond the initial figures being released this year by Mattel. Earlier in the week Brian seemed less sure about being able to take things over from Mattel for Thundercats, but now it looks like it could at least be a possibility, if the two companies can cut though all the legal red tape in regards to the license.

Brian also talks about Masters of the Universe Classics which they are definitely continuing from Mattel in 2017. They will continue to have the Four Horsemen sculpt the figures. He also talks about Snake Mountain. They might consider doing some kind of Kickstarter for it, however it would probably not be for awhile since it is such a difficult item to get made due to the size. Listen to the whole interview below.
